FS2002 SCENERY ENHANCEMENT FOR THE NORTHWEST TERRITORIES - JULY, 2002

The NWT Seaplanes scenery package includes actual government and commercial water
airports plus heliports located throughout the territory. A complete Airport/Facility Directory is
provided listing these operations plus all land airports.
Various modifications have been made to the default scenery to improve the transportation
system by adding some missing charted roads and fixing Navaid data according to current
Supplements and VFR Navigational Charts.
Certain water ports offer aviation fuel. Pull up to the docks that include a gas pump, come
to a complete stop in front of the pump and watch the gas gauge automatically read to full.
Be sure to read the contents of the enclosed file "camps.txt". It contains information about
six added private wilderness camps, plus a 200 mile hiking trail with a history.
ELEVATED MESH TERRAIN
======================
This scenery has been developed using the Microsoft FS2002 default scenery and, therefore,
may not be compatible with any 3rd party add-on mesh terrain scenery.
SCENERY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
==================================
* Specify the location of your FS2002 root directory for your extraction program.
* Start the extraction (unzip) process. Folder creation is automatic.
* When finished, verify in MS Explorer that the folders and files are placed as follows:
C:\FS2002 (the root directory, whatever it is named on your machine)
\ADDON SCENERY
\NWT Seaplanes > documentation files
\Scenery > *.bgl files
\Texture > texture files
TEXTURES
=========
The NWT Seaplane scenery files use macros developed with the NOVA 2000 design
program by Raphael Sanchez. In order for these macros to properly display, you will need
the associated textures installed into the \Texture folder of Flight Simulator. You can find
these textures at Raphael's web site "www.fsnova.com" in the download section. There
are four files for you to download:

CONFIGURE FS2002

* Start FS2002
* Go to Scenery Library in World
* Click on Add Area
* Click on the ADDON SCENERY folder
* Double click on the folder NWT Seaplanes - do not click on the sub-folders
* Assign a title such as, "NWT Seaplanes"
* Specify to empty the cache on exit
* Click on OK
* Back in the Scenery Library box, locate "NWT Seaplanes" - it should be at the top of the list.
* Make sure the Enable box is checked (X).
* Click on OK to proceed with loading the scenery.
ThatÂ’s it. Have fun and safe flying! By the way, don't forget to load the scenery into your favorite
third party flight planner program.

There are two basic ways to find a location: 1) Search places, or 2) Search add-on scenery.
1) Search places
Global = North America and Country/Region = Canada
State/Province = Northwest Territories and City = Your choice per the A/FD
2) Search add-on scenery (best)
